A 6K course….Course will wind around the property…may be a lot like Ram Tap!
Hazards: For an HDT, we need six rather than the usual four used in our ADT’s. We have completed one new, permanent hazard, The Chino Meadows. This was used during the May ADT and seems to be very popular with the competitors. Here is Marcia Fetherston in the hazard at the May ADT.
For the sixth hazard, we were looking into bringing up the Covered Wagons Hazard from Coolidge. The Club built it and so it will need a new permanent home. However the logistics of getting it to Paulden are not working out in this year’s time frame. So when Dana and crew brought up the clubs stall fencing, they also brought up a number of barrels no longer needed in Coolidge. They are now the temporary sixth hazard and will be used for the HDT.

The ten club panel stalls are also here now and in addition to the nine newly constructed permanent pens, we will have available a total of 23 on site pens for competitors in October.

Food and Socializing:

Yes, it would not be a competition without that.  As of now, we have contracted with a food truck who will be on site all Saturday and till noon on Sunday.

HDT Event Banquet:  What would an event be without a Saturday night banquet Well, we will meet in a hall right down the road in the heart of Paulden for our banquet – a reservation is made for the sit down Saturday banquet!

Finally, nothing firm yet, but a Friday evening social has been a tradition at our major events.  We are hoping to find a sponsor who can help with one for the HDT too.  If you can help, please contact Peter Atonna.

Here are some photos of the “labor of love:”

We will keep you updated as we move closer to revive combined driving in Arizona….
